QLD Poker Machine Tender #53 (Pubs) - Tender OPEN

By Steve Gagel, Director of Business Services and Taxation

The Qld Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation has opened the tender for the latest round of gaming authorities (last tender value in brackets), being:

  • 12 South East ($380,870 - tender #52) – minimum acceptable price $352,078 (last tender $324,954)
  • 24 Coastal ($177,267 - tender #52) – minimum acceptable price $171,771 (last tender $166,897)
  • Nil Western ($91,000 - tender #52) – minimum acceptable price N/A (last tender $40,000)

Pub Authorities

The OLGR has extended the 12 month trial of reduction in transfer fees (from 33% to 15%) and has kept the minimum acceptable pricing system for a further 12 months. Supply has dramatically reduced (especially for the South East) from the last tender and this tightening of supply should increase tender prices upward in the South East whilst in the Coastal region I feel that the softening of the price will continue. No supply yet again in the Western region after record prices paid in the last tender.

If you intend to bid in the Pub Tender, please ensure you have lodged your completed form (along with the lodgement fee of $75) in the tender box (facsimile, post or email not acceptable) with the Public Trust Office, Ground Floor, 410 Ann Street, Brisbane prior to 4pm Wednesday 27 September 2023.
